Denver Realtor Pete Doty is originally from southern Connecticut where his grandfather introduced him to horses. In the mid 1960’s he got to spend 2 summers in Colorado “wrangling dudes”, and started college in 1969 at the USIU Campus in Steamboat Springs. From there he moved to Bozeman and a graduated from Montana State University. Conoco hired Pete in 1975 as an engineering technician in New Orleans where he met his wife Linda. They moved to Denver in 1978 when The Anschutz Corporation hired him to be their Operations Coordinator. He moved into the land department at Getty Oil Company and was soon hired away to become Land Manager for Tresor Petroleum, a wonderful experience and boss, Vince Tesone. The 1984 oil bust created an opportunity for a career change.
In 1985 he got his real estate brokers license and in 1988 became his own employing broker of Pete Doty & Company – Metro Brokers. Since that time he has only worked in residential real estate, primarily in south metro Denver, “Helping nice folks buy or sell homes”.
The strategic thinking of today’s real estate market requires experience to know how to best position the property and the client for the best possible results in terms of price, or desired moving dates, or even the condition of the home. That is advice only experience can prepare someone to give.
