Charmaine is the owner of Charmaine’s Bella & Colour Salon and Entertainment/Allure Marketing Communications. Charmaine has been a hair stylist for over 25 years and specializes in hair color, event updo’s, hair extensions, makeup and the latest hair techniques. When she is not in the salon she is on film sets and creates the images of the character that the director is seeking.
Charmaine recently graduated from Regis University, her degree is an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing. She helps the Beauty industry (hair stylist, estheticians etc.. ) with strategic planning to increase their revenue and help them reach their goals they are seeking.
Entertainment Marketing Communications is Charmaine’s other company and She is considered a producer and helps raise money with the help of the community through advertisement and product placement for the films that she is associated with. Charmaine was recognized as a hair colorist and makeup artist in the Inspire Fashion Book. So, how do you become the Director of Business Development and open a new Colorado office for an employment screening firm in Houston? While some might take a straight path of B2B sales and marketing and “climb the ladder”, I chose a road less travelled. My road began at Sprint and meandered through B2C before returning to B2B and KRESS Inc.
In the B2C world, I spent time building fashion shows and finding the audience, managing lingerie salespeople, and leading sales and training at three of the most popular jewelry stores—Kay, Helzberg and Jared.
While at Jared, I broke records on all standards and had a store in the black in six months (typically this takes a year). I ran some of the biggest special events in the area, and I was breaking all the records in volume and quantity. I flew to the home office several times a year to assist with the company’s development of future leadership. I would fly to different cities to recruit and assist with training for a new store opening. Jared would also fly the entire new store management staff to be trained at my location. I organized a recruiting blitz for the district and trained all levels of management in the district on how to recruit, interview and manage. I would also travel to help the other stores during events to help them succeed. I won the training manager of the year. I was basically a Jared rockstar.

I have worked in the mental health field for almost twenty years — with abused children, families, couples, women with addictions, women leaving violent relationships, and aging adults with dementia. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Morocco, North Africa, and can speak other languages.
I received a Master’s degree from Naropa University’s Transpersonal Counseling Psychology program in 2005 and have been licensed as a psychotherapist in the state of Colorado since 2007. I am also a National Certified Counselor (through the NBCC). I have therapy experience with children, teenagers, adults, couples and families with a focus on trauma and navigating through life’s transitions. I have a unique perspective on clients coming from other cultural backgrounds.
